On the 10th Day of Christmas Creativity...

Yay!  It's time for me to host the 10th Day of Christmas Creativity!  Woo Hoo!

This has been so much fun!  I'm glad I still have two more days to post, even if it's not hosting. Don't forget to read about the giveaways at the bottom of this post.

It's just a few days away from Christmas.  I'm feeling a little bit sad that some of our family is so far away.  Okay, not just a little bit.  I'm really hoping that one day we'll be able to spend Christmas with everyone together.  Thank goodness for Skype and Facetime or we would feel really disconnected from our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter in Connecticut.  We will hopefully be able to do some visiting with our own parents over the holidays, though, so at least we will see some of our extended family.  I'm looking for some ideas to draw us together over the long distances. If you have any, keep them in mind, I'll be asking you about them later on in this post!

Today I've got my last freebie for you!  It's tag #10 in the 12 Days of Christmas Tags series. Hopefully you've picked up the other three I've given away so far.  If you want the whole set, be sure to enter the drawings. I'll also be offering these for sale for a super good price at the end of the week, too.  I might even come up with a challenge or two to go along with them.

It was a challenge to figure out how to fit ten lords leaping around on one little tag.  This is my solution! The concept works on a lot of the other bigger number tags, too.  Can't have you cutting a billing tiny lords and accessories out and then trying to figure out how to assemble them!

Boring but Important Legal Stuff: My terms of use are included in each zipped download. If you have any questions about how you may use this file, please read it. By clicking to download the file, you are agreeing to abide by the terms. If you'd like to share it, please don't. Rather, send your friends a link to this blog post. Once it's no longer available as a freebie, you might be tempted to share it with someone. Please don't! 'Nuf said!

SORRY!  This download has expired.  Please look for it in the Sam & Hailey Designs Store!

Okay, remember those drawings I mentioned?  Here's how to enter!

Here are the prizes:

1) Three Prizes: The whole set of 12 Days of Christmas Tags
2) $10 gift code to Sam & Hailey Designs
3) $10 Michaels Gift Card
4) The December VDBC Grab Bag (or a $7 gift code to Sam & Hailey Designs if you have already purchased it)

How can you win them? On the 12th Day (that will be the 23rd for our little blog-fest) I'll hold a drawing for each one of the prizes (that's four six drawings in one day... I think I can handle it!). All you have to do to enter is comment on my blog to enter. You can comment on my blog on each of the 12 days so you'll have up to 12 entries in the drawings! Each day I'll have a new thing I'll ask you to include in your comment so keep an eye out for that. It's as simple as that!

Today's comment requirement:

Leave a comment with an idea for connecting extended families who are far away at the holidays.  This could be any idea for grandparents, grandchildren, deployed military family members, college students, missionaries, etc.

Be sure to include some way to contact you in case you win the drawing (for example, your VDBC forum name, your email address, etc.). If you don't, I might not be able to get your prize to you!

Oh, if you want a sneek peak at the tags included in the whole 12 Days of Christmas Tags set, here are a few more!

Time to get crafty, people!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! This is soooooooo perfect. We went caroling over at the VA in Palo Alto (PolyTrauma) & as we did 12 days of Christmas my son decided he would be the Lords A Leaping. Lots of smiles from our Wounded Warriors. This will make for a great memory cut & framed for him to look at often.

Jan,you have done a remarkable job making these adorable 12 Days of Christmas cutting files. I hope I win the set since I have missed a few days with sick grand babies and Christmas To-Do's.

A great and fun way for families to connect is to make one huge Christmas card with a hand written Christmas greeting and the address of the next person it should be mailed to. The next person signs it then encloses a list of the names and addresses of the next recipient. When they recive it they mail it to the name below the crossed out name. Once the card has been all over the world it should end up in the hands of the person who started the card. This card is scanned and sent to everyone on the list so they can read all of the Christmas messages.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.

If loved ones are traveling far away, give them photos to carry in their phones, or put them on a USB drive. Make a PowerPoint slide show or a video to wish them a Merry Christmas and include some music of the season! This would be especially great for our military members to see again and again and to keep forever.

Thanks Jan, your tags are adorable. We have family in TX and AZ that won't be here for Christmas. We do alot of texting and sending pics on the cell to keep up to date.

My brother lives far away but on holidays we call each other when all the family is present so everyone gets to say hello. I love you 12 days files and I would love to win. Thank you, Jeanette

Thank you for the freebie once again. They are so cute. I try each year to write a letter that includes what each of our kids as well as hubby and myself have been doing during the year and then thank goodness for our telephones so we can at least talk to our extended family who live a few states away.

Another great tag Jan! Thanks so much. I do agree that Skype and facebook help, what also may help is making a video of your house decorations, the cooking procedures, food on the plate, decorations around the house--and send this so family members can see how you decorate, what the gifts are etc. We are working on a video of this for my husband's sister who lives far away--they always enjoy the videos we send them and it brings us closer.

Skype and webcams are a great way. Also lots of photos, facebook helps with that. Recordings and videos also help.

I am loving this series of files.

I am loving all of the tags, Jan. Awesome!!! Keeping connected these days is so much easier with email, webcams, Skype, etc. I still like the idea of a Christmas newsletter with pictures and recaps of important events that happened throughout the year. Also, web-connected photo frames are great for sharing pictures with family.

I've been fortunate enough to only have 1 brother that is away at holidays alot. The rest of us are close enough to see each other during the holidays. When he was overseas the only way we had to comunicate was by phone and letters. Today there are so many more ways.

Thank you so so much for the adorable file. Love this set. I will keep in touch more with family by Facebook. I don't do the Skype thing or webcams... LOL

What a great tag! My Sweet Adelines chorus in Houston sang "The Twelfth Day after Christmas" last weekend in a concert. It is a great parody. I can't wait to get your whole set. We have family in New Mexico, Colorado, and we live in Louisiana. The only way we have kept in touch so far is by phone. I will certainly consider these other suggestions. When I win, you can send me notice at soccerdebla08 at gmail dot com.

Love your Christmas tags, Jan! Even though I don't celebrate Christmas, I love your style and everything you design! My idea of connecting extended families is Facebook. I know that doesn't sound great, but I can say I've been more in touch with my family since Facebook than ever in the past umpty ump years. It's awesome! :) Lynn B, Lynn@LuckyCharmCrafts.com.
